Like the title says, this coming Thrusday or October 1st, will be the last episode of Unforgotten Realms to appear on the escapist. This episode will also not even be a "numbered" episode as it is a complete derail of the plot to give the show a quick and dirty ending for the Escapist. I won't go into too much detail behind the reasoning of this at this time but I will say that the future of the show will in fact be left up to the fans over the next couple months here. The site will finnally get it's revamp here and where the show goes now will be decided at a later date.

I can live with this. Hell, we can make UR go the way of Firefly if we want, and get there to be an epic movie, and then Rob can show it at the film festival at the college near where I live, and then I can meet him, and then go uber-stalker-fan crazy, and have him have me get arrested. On a more mentally sound note, I think this will help there be more creative freedom, and the show can improve quality wise. I know this a quick and dirty post.

But what about the moneys??? Nah I'm kidding, don't know why you quit, but you have your reasons and I'm hoping UR will stay the way it is.

This is a bit of a letdown but like Jule just said, you have your reasons and judging by the recent biweekly change, they are probably pretty good ones. Well, I'll be staying here and do whatever I can to help support the show. Hopefully it will find a new home soon. Until then, best of luck, Rob.

The reasoning behind it will comes out but let me be clear when I say this.

I honestly did not have a choice. You guys, in the near future will be the deciding factor of the show.

I'm getting the feeling that what Rob is trying to say is the show got old on the Escapist...

Its sad, really. I actually caught up a few days ago (stupid download glitch) and am wondering where the hell its going to go. As for my thoughts on where the show should go, I have a few ideas, but none developed enough to actually suggest AND maintain the quality of the show. For whatever reason, my condolences to the Escapist and their loss, or you and your loss as the case may be.

I do not know whether to celebrate or cry at the news. Whatever the reason for this, and whatever the outcome, I will continue to wholly support the show and it's creator. Death be to any fools who hatefully cry out curses when the Escapist era of Urealms ends. If the fate of the show truly lies in the forumers' hands, I believe there are no better hands it could fall into.

I know I've been nothing but a nuissance and a pain to you, SirSchmoopy, but if possible, I 'd like to change that. Let the forums know if you need anything donated, whether it be cash, blood, sweat, tears, ideas, or more cash.

A few years ago, I contemplated making my own "d and d spoof" series. I was seriously working on it for awhile, but practically by myself, I couldn't put it all together and make it work. And then a friend showed me Unforgotten Realms, and I thought "this guy kind of beat me to the point", and abandoned the project. If any of my writing could be of help, I'd gladly let you have at it, though I doubt the current dilemma would go to that extent.

Know that whatever problems you are facing with the show, Rob, there are literally thousands of people on the forum and elsewhere that are behind you all the way.

I really really can't get into details about the Escapist part but from the PMs I'm getting a lot of people want to know what "Up to the fans means". Soon enough the Unforgotten Realms Season One DvD will be apon us and the site will have a goal of a certain amount of DvDs we need to sell for me to work on the next season of Unforgotten Realms. This will litteraly make or break the show as it's a fulltime gig and if we can't sell enough copies to keep the show a going then it might be time for a long break between the next season.

On the plus side, if everything works out and the fans are all gun hoe about it, we might be seeing episodes that are more favorable to fans. I'll let fans decide if they liked the 10 minute cuts over the 5 or whether or not to keep it weekly. Anyway, for now sit back and wait for this final episode as I have completely rewritten an episode that will change the Unforgotten Realms you know and love forever.

*Gasp!* I'll buy 2 DVD's. One for me and my friend, then. :3 And you keep saying We. Who is "we"? Do you mean as in you and the fans, combined? Or just you and some unknown source?

That's sad that the Escapist let UR go. Was it not getting enough views or something? Anyway, I hope we can all raise enough money for you Rob. Good luck with the rest of the show, and we all dearly hope to see it in the future.

Wait a sec, 6,000 X $20/ $120,000. Sweet.

I'll buy a DVD when they come out!
I'll also encourage my friends to buy!
I'll use a third exclamation point as well!

If American cash is acceptable, I guarantee you I will buy at least $40 of material. Also, I don't suppose you'd look down upon us imposing this crisis against fellow fans not on the forum to buy them would you? I happen to be a damn good salesman.

*kneels*

We are your pawns, mighty king.

Also, on an ironic note, that very, very stupid "Rob needs YOU" thread I made upon first joining the forums has in some senses become a reality. Oh, the irony.
